Contests

Thank you everyone who joined in my celebration. I love the variety of answers. The winners were picked at random and I added a fourth four getting them all correct! You know who you are ;) .

The winners have been emailed. Just send me your addresses and I’ll get the prizes on the way near the end of the month.

Here are the answers:

1. Is there a Fourth of July in France?  Of course, and a third, a fifth, etc.

2. What musical/play is a dramatization about the signing of the Declaration of Independence? I think you all got this…1776

3. Which colony had the most battles during the Revolutionary War? My research says South Carolina. General Francis “Swampfox” Marion is a common name here; so is Pickens, Moultrie.

4. In the aforementioned musical, who plays the violin? Thomas Jefferson. The song is sung by Martha about him.

5. True or False? John Adams and Thomas Jefferson died on the fourth of July, 1776.  False. They both died on the fourth, but not in 1776.
